Fourth and fifth graders explored themes in poetry this week. They learned to use evidence from the poem to defend their ideas; and how to write a solid response to the question... What is the theme of this poem?

Happy Chinese New Year!

Second graders created Chinese dragons in celebration of the Chinese New Year. They were extremely thoughtful in the colors they chose and the animal attributes that they added. We finished with a freeze dance parade to present the dragons to the class. So much fun!

Mrs. Glazer's second grade had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day!
