5th Grade Science - Can you fit the pieces of "data" together to make sense? Now, what happens when new data/evidence is
discovered? How does this change our thinking?

rye grass to grow 2 inches? Students learn about scientific processes.

Planting "Grassy-haired Creatures"! Soon, we will give our creatures smashing hair cuts!
Mr. Wonsidler's 2nd grade Social Studies class.

Sarah Strawberry, Robert Redwood, Polka Dot Patti...these are just a few names of our class pet pals.
Each student planted 2 seeds of the same kind and hypothesized about how colored water might impact the plant.
They are learning about variables and the traditional scientific method.

What is on the bottom of the mystery cube? Fourth grade science students are learning the art of observation by looking for patterns and raising "good" questions. Will we ever know for sure what is on the bottom of the cube? Only if Mrs. B lets us
look!

2nd Grade academy students "buddy" with another Pierremont class to build friendships and community.

Mrs. B's 5th grade students share what they learned about a chosen math topic.

5th grade science students learn about tree rings and what they have to do with studying past weather and climate patterns.

4th grade science students build models of the continental and oceanic crust to learn about land formations.
Painting our models and labeling the land formations.

5th Grade Science - How are these words connected? This was a pre-assessment activity to see how much the students
already knew about concepts related to the carbon cycle. Students were asked to create a web using the given words to show relationships, etc.

5th Grade Building Thinking Skills - Can you build a tower this tall using only 10 sheets of paper? Students learn the power of teamwork and creative problem solving!
