Messy real-world problem solving-- Mr. Wonsidler's homeroom

Today, students were given a bucket of notched plastic triangles, squares, and hexagons.
They had a few minutes to explore silently.
Then they took turns with different roles-- Recorder, Director, and Actor--
in interacting with the shapes.
Their job was to find out what they could do with these shapes and decide why
they were given these objects.

The kids loved working with these platonic solids and the teamwork exhibited was FANTASTIC!
Ask them about it if you get a chance!
